Bandwidth means 'data transfer amount'. Your
SWINOL account is allotted 200
megabytes of bandwidth per month for your personal web site. If you
create a personal site on our servers, then only 200 megabytes of data
can be transferred from that web site each month.
For example, if you make a web page with several pictures and the total
combined size of those pictures is one megabyte, then 200 people can
download that web page in one month before your web page transfer
allotment (your bandwidth) runs out. Two hundred megabytes is typically
more than enough bandwidth for the average user, and most should not have
to even think about it.
If your bandwidth allocation is exceeded, your personal web site will be
placed on hold temporarily until the end of the month and you will be sent
an email to notify you of this.
To add more bandwidth, you can purchase a second dialup account (which
gives you 200 more megs) or buy the bandwidth at a 5-cent-per-megabyte
rate. To do this, please contact Customer Service at
800.599.1000.
