Personalizing Your Home Page

Members have several ways to personalize the new SWINOL home page. The Settings page (available via the link next to image of Router the dog on the home page) will list all of the content areas available for display on your home page. You can use the Settings page to customize the home page to display only the features you wish to see, in the order you want to see them. Some of the individual content areas offer additional configurable options as well.

Instructions:

To select which areas to display, use the checkboxes to the left of each content area's name on the Settings page. Checked items will be displayed each time the home page loads, unchecked items will not. The more items you have checked, the longer the page will be. The example to the left shows three content area boxes that have all been turned off.

To re-order the content areas, use the up and down arrows (shown in the example to the right) to put the areas in the order you prefer. You cannot move items from the left column to right or vice versa. You can only move items on each side up and down to re-order them. Many content areas also offer customization options specific to each area. Those with such options have a corresponding "Configure" button. Click that button to set your preferences for each individual content area.

At the bottom of the Settings page, there are also universal configuration options that allow you to change basic settings for your homepage. These allow you to remove the image of our mascot, Router the Dog as well as set your homepage to automatically refresh itself periodically to update your mail, headlines and other information.
