Welcome to TIPS! TIPS is an email newsletter put out by the employees of
SW Indiana Online to help members get the most
from their Internet service. Each issue includes a selection of useful tips
you can use while surfing the net. Questions? Comments? Suggestions for

and what to do if a real message gets caught as spam. You'll also learn

help you to get the most out of your precious online time. We lay out what

much more.
- November 20th, 2002
This issue is dedicated to helping our members deal with SPAM, the
junk email messages that every Internet user has to cope with
eventually. Included are guides to recognizing SPAM, avoiding it
as well as dealing with online hoaxes and scams.
- October 10th, 2002
Our second issue of TIPS included useful info such as: a quick fix
for hard to read websites, adjusting font size, taking advantage of
your full screen size, activating our free content filtering service
for kids and a link to a great website full of Jigsaw puzzles.

In our first issue we offered various tips including: Searching
